### Summary
POLLUX is a candidate European instrumental contribution to the Habitable Worlds Observatory. It is a high-resolution spectrograph with polarimetric capabilities, covering from the far ultraviolet (FUV; 100nm) to the near infrared (NIR; 1.75mum). Such a broad spectral coverage is achieved by splitting the instrument into five channels, each comprising an echelle spectrograph: FUV, medium-UV (MUV), near-UV (NUV), optical (OPT), and NIR. A set of custom-made dichroics enables simultaneity across the MUV, NUV, OPT, and NIR channels. We present the latest developments in the optical design of the three UV channels. Specifically, we estimate the impact of telescope residual jitter on resolving power and sampling and discuss possible options to enable pure spectroscopy in the FUV channel without implementing a fully retractable polarimeter and to compensate the defocus when inserting MUV and NUV polarimeters. Finally, we estimate the impact of detector size limitation and potential advantages of shrinking or extending the wavelength coverage in the NUV channel.

### Summary
We present JWST NIRCam observations of two M-dwarf systems located in the TW Hydra association, TWA 10 and TWA 25. Both systems harbor detected debris disks in the F200W and F444W filters. Whereas the TWA 25 disk has been previously imaged, these observations represent the discovery and first images of the TWA 10 disk. In addition to planet searches within these systems, we also conduct an analysis of each debris disk, where the TWA 10 debris disk is characterized for the first time. We find that the TWA 10 debris disk is very large, with a radius of $\sim$191 au, significantly greater than other known M-dwarf debris disks. The TWA 25 disk hosts a sharp inner dust surface density power-law and a moderate brightness asymmetry present at 2 $μ$m, suggesting potential sculpting from inner planets and potentially enhanced collisional activity. Finally, we find one potential companion candidate within the TWA 10 system and two within the TWA 25 system, although the measured F200W-F444W color suggests that these candidates are likely background objects. Both systems do not have measured IR-excesses in their SEDs, where radiative-transfer modeling suggests that these disks (and potentially more M-dwarf disks) were likely missed by previous disk detection surveys due to having low luminosity fractions.

### Summary
PROVIDENCE is an ONERA-led project to install a new-generation optical ground station at the Haute-Provence Observatory (OHP) in South of France. Built around a 2.5-meter aperture, the station addresses five core science cases: space domain awareness, astronomy, laser activities and communications, atmospheric characterization, and instrumental prototyping. The project is organized into three parallel subprojects covering the telescope (Providence T), the building (Providence B), and the instruments (Providence I), the latter including the facility's first-light adaptive optics instrument, INTERSTELLAR. This paper presents the scientific motivation, the project architecture, the telescope technical specifications, the civil-engineering challenges associated with replacing the existing T152 equatorial telescope, and the station layout designed to host multiple co-active instrument teams. The project roadmap targets First Light in 2029, timed to track the close-approach flyby of asteroid Apophis.

### Summary
We present a comprehensive analysis of the recently discovered TeV gamma-ray source, LHAASO J2238+5900. Based on data collected from the LHAASO, our fitting results suggest that the source is significantly extended with an angular extension of 0.54° \pm 0.01° and is spatially coincident with the pulsar PSR J2238+5903. Its spectrum is characterized by a power-law with a cutoff at 41.0\pm 3.5 TeV. Additionally, the source exhibits a significant signal of 7.9σabove 100 TeV, implying that it is a PeVatron candidate. While the gamma-ray emission is consistent with a pulsar wind nebula (PWN) scenario, the relatively large extension size also allows for a halo interpretation, potentially caused by electron-positron pairs escaping from the PWN.

### Summary
We present the first observational hints of the severe removal of both molecular and HI gas from the dwarf galaxy VCC 1249. This extreme stripping event is thought to be driven by the combined effects of tidal interaction and ram pressure. Using deep CO (2$-$1) observations from the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope (JCMT), we obtained marginal CO detections in three regions within the stripped HI tail, with molecular masses of $\sim$10$^{5}$ to 10$^{6}$$M_{\odot}$, comparable to typical masses of giant molecular clouds. In contrast, we did not find CO emission within the stellar disk of VCC 1249. This indicates the severe removal of cold gas, which likely caused the sudden cessation of star formation in the galaxy. This identifies VCC 1249 as a unique laboratory for witnessing the rapid, environmentally-driven quenching of a dwarf galaxy. Our findings provide a critical observational link between gas removal mechanisms and the dramatic phase transition of cluster dwarfs from star-forming to quiescent systems.

### Summary
HARMONI is the first-light, adaptive optics assisted, near-IR integral field spectrograph for the ELT. It covers a spectral range from below 800nm to 2400nm with resolving powers from 3000 to 7000 and spatial sampling of 25mas and 6mas. It can operate in three adaptive optics (AO) modes: single conjugate AO (SCAO), high-contrast AO (HCAO), and multi-conjugate AO (MCAO). The project is resuming its final design phase after a rescope design phase that has lasted two years. This paper describes the impact of the rescope on the natural guide star sensors (NGSS) system, imposing wide-ranging changes in particular to the low-order wavefront sensors (LOWFS) previously optimized for LTAO operation as well as on the external support and enclosure (ESE) whose external interfaces have changed. The high-contrast module (HCM) is also deeply affected due to the modified plate scale of the instrument, and the single-conjugate AO sensor (SCAOS) benefits from a reduced patrol field requirement. Description of the changes will be given together with the associated system analysis involving requirements flow-down, revisited functional analysis, and updated product breakdown structure. Elements of the new system management structure and work breakdown will also be included.

### Summary
The signals from the LIGO-Virgo-KAGRA network of gravitational-wave (GW) detectors allow us to perform sensitive tests of general relativity (GR) in the dynamical and strong-field regime of gravity. We present the results of seven tests of GR using the observed binary signals in the fifth GW Transient Catalog (GWTC-5.0), i.e., up to and including the second part of the fourth observing run (O4b). We restrict our analysis to the confident signals, henceforth called events, observed by at least two detectors that have estimated false alarm rates $\le 10^{-3} \ \rm{yr}^{-1}$. These include 72 events from O4b and five events from the first part of the fourth observing run that are now analyzed due to their increased significance from updated search results, bringing the total number of events for tests of GR in the cumulative GWTC to 168. After subtracting the best-fit waveforms, we find the residuals are consistent with detector noise for all events considered. We also find no strong evidence for additional polarizations beyond those predicted by GR. We perform tests of GW generation, improving the constraints on deviations from the GR post-Newtonian coefficients by factors of 1.2-2.6. Finally, we find overall consistency of the remnants with GR using both time- and frequency-domain methods. For GW240621_195059, postmerger data are consistent with the dominant quadrupolar ($\ell=|m|=2$) mode of a Kerr black hole and its first overtone, with spurious high-frequency content preventing a spectroscopic constraint of GR. In the frequency-domain ringdown analysis, the GR prediction lies in the tails of the combined results, possibly due to the limited catalog size. However, the combined results indicate improved consistency with GR over GWTC-4.0, owing to the contribution of GW250114 with a network matched-filter signal-to-noise ratio of 76.9. Overall, we find no evidence for physics beyond GR.

### Summary
The cosmic infrared background, sourced by dust heated by star-forming activity, encodes the integrated history of the star-formation distribution over a large swathe of cosmic time. Decomposing the contribution from galaxies at different redshifts to the observed CIB maps provides a powerful tool for probing the large-scale star-formation history across cosmic times. To this end, we perform a forecast tomographic cross-correlation analysis using simulated photometric galaxy clustering and weak lensing data based on the Euclid mission survey specifications, combined with Planck CIB observations. The analysis adopts templates constructed from the halo occupation distribution model to measure the bias-weighted star-formation-rate density, $\langle b ρ_{\rm SFRD}\rangle$, as a function of redshift. We present forecasts for the $\langle b ρ_{\rm SFRD}\rangle$ constraints based on these simulations and quantify the expected constraining power using Fisher information matrix methods. Compared with results obtained using the same dataset as in previous works, we find that Euclid will tighten the constraints on $\langle b ρ_{\rm SFRD}\rangle$ across all redshift bins by a factor of about $2$ and provide more measurements over a deeper redshift range. This leads to improved constraints on all HOD parameters, typically reducing the marginalized uncertainties by a factor of about $2.5$, while also breaking parameter degeneracies.

### Summary
The Next Generation Virgo Cluster Survey (NGVS) is a deep, high resolution imaging campaign that used the 1 deg$^2$ MegaCam instrument on the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope to carry out a comprehensive optical survey of the Virgo cluster, from its core to its virial radius. The NGVS covers a contiguous area of 104 deg$^2$ (8.63 Mpc$^2$ at the 16.5 Mpc distance of Virgo) in the $u^*$-,$g$-,$i$-, and $z$-band, with additional limited coverage in $r$. In this paper, we present the final catalog of Virgo galaxies across the entire NGVS area. The catalog includes 3680 galaxies considered to be $bona~fide$ members of the cluster, spanning a factor of 2.5 million in luminosity, from $g = 8.42$ mag to $g = 24.41$ mag ($M_g = -22.67$ mag to $M_g = -6.68$ mag). With 2100 previously uncataloged galaxies, the NGVS catalog augments the number of known Virgo members by a factor 2.3. The catalog is complete down to $g = 18.6$ mag ($M_g=-12.5$ mag, corresponding to a stellar mass $M_* \sim 1.6\times10^7~M_{\odot}$ for an old stellar population) and 50% complete at $g = 22.0$ mag ($M_g=-9.1$ mag, $M_* \sim 6.2\times10^5~M_{\odot}$), three magnitudes deeper than the venerable Virgo Cluster Catalog (VCC), which for over 40 years has served as the reference standard for Virgo. Photometric and structural parameters are derived for all NGVS galaxies and presented in a series of tables, alongside nuclear and morphological classification, as well as stellar masses and, when available, radial velocities.

### Summary
Simulation-based inference (SBI) has become a major tool for extracting cosmological information from weak-lensing (WL) surveys, particularly from non-Gaussian observables. We compare its two main paradigms: explicit likelihood inference (ELI), based on a Gaussian likelihood built from an emulator and covariance matrix, and likelihood-free inference (LFI), which learns the likelihood directly from simulations using neural density estimators. Using Gaussian random field mocks representative of the non-tomographic final Euclid data release, we analyse shear two-point correlation functions (shear-2PCFs), compressed with linear or non-linear methods, together with a fundamentally different map-level convolutional neural network (CNN) statistic, focusing on $Ω_{\rm m}$ and $S_8$. We deploy posterior calibration diagnostics developed for LFI, including the test of accuracy with random points (TARP), showing that ELI becomes strongly miscalibrated under emulation inaccuracies or likelihood non-Gaussianity, whereas LFI remains well calibrated. These effects drive substantial disagreement between ELI and LFI, which largely vanishes once addressed. We further show that the compression scheme can significantly degrade ELI while leaving LFI largely unaffected. Although shear-2PCFs should capture all the information in Gaussian fields, finite compression and non-Gaussian likelihoods cause ELI constraints to differ by up to a factor of two from those inferred with the CNN, while the discrepancy drops to $\approx 30\%$ for LFI, underscoring the robustness of the deep-learning probe. Overall, our results indicate that in our simple setup, which neglects systematic biases, LFI provides a more robust and better-calibrated framework, while highlighting accurate non-Gaussian likelihood modelling and posterior calibration diagnostics as essential for future ELI analyses.

### Summary
We present the Infra-Red Telescope (IRT), which is part of the payload of the THESEUS mission, one on the three phase A candidate missions for the M7 slot of ESA (launch date 2037). The IRT is a 0.7 m class telescope with an off-axis Korsch optical design, with imaging capabilities in the 0.7-1.8 microns range over a 15 x 15 arc min field of view. The IRT also provides slit-less low resolution spectroscopy (R~400) over a limited field of view of 2 x 2 arc min, in the 0.8-1.6 microns range. The goal of the IRT is to identify the near infrared counterparts to the Gamma-Ray Bursts (GRBs) detected by the two other telescopes on board THESEUS (the XGIS and the SXI), and to measure on board its photometric redshift in near real-time. The position and the redshift will be transmitted immediately to ground to allow for deeper follow-up by the large telescopes (ELT, VLT, ...). If the source is bright enough, spectroscopy will be performed to characterize the GRB environment.
